Date: Tue, 10 Jan 2012 15:36:55 -0500 From: Claire Morenon Reply-To: claire at buylocalfood.org To: , "'Molly Sauvain'" , Hi, GFN-ers and permaculture folks- I wanted to make sure you all know about Northampton Winter Fare, which is coming up this Saturday, January 14th, 10am-2pm at Smith Voke. It's going to be a lovely farmers' market (vendor list here ), with workshops (full schedule here ), bartering (details here ), hot soup (full list here ), music- lots to look forward to! We will also be doubling all SNAP purchases up to $10. All details here. Winter Fare kicks off to a new year of farmers' markets- with so many awesome regular markets throughout the season (including great weekly markets in Northampton and Amherst, which will be closed this weekend), we want people to come to Winter Fare to shop, attend a free workshop, and be inspired to make seasonal eating and farmers' markets a regular part of their lives. So I hope you'll come and bring a friend! We also are still looking for volunteers to spend an hour serving soup, helping us learn more about shoppers' winter food habits, or haul heavy things (if that's what you enjoy). Email molly.sauvain at gmail.com to sign up- it's fun!
